Film is important; it can be more than reportage or a novel - it creates images people have never seen before, never imagined they’d see, maybe because they needed someone else to imagine them.

Director Dennis Dortch has actually surpassed his Kickstarter fundraising goal for his now soon-to-be feature film version of his webseries ‘The Couple.’ In November of 2008, ActNow hosted the NYC premiere of Dennis’ first feature film ‘A Good Day to be Black and Sexy.’
This documentary, which transcripts were published as a book with the same title, chronicles the African-American quarterback’s struggles from being denied to play the QB position to becoming the starting captain of the offense on a NFL team.
